With Garrison's memories foggy and disoriented, his unrelenting revenge mission becomes incredibly psychological, which is a perfect set up for a sequel.

Not becoming a total loss, the film became somewhat of a home entertainment hit throughout the year. Last month, plans for Bloodshot 2 were confirmed by DMG entertainment, the company behind Valiant Comics, the creators of the titular character. Also known as Ray Garrison, Bloodshot is a super-soldier with little memory of his past life, and originally appeared in the comics in 1992.ĭespite being released in cinemas a few days before mass movie theater closures earlier this year due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, Sony's decision to release Bloodshot on demand shortly thereafter proved more hopeful than originally thought.
